Colorado alcohol rehab centers that accept Medicaid.

Each center below has Medicaid acceptance confirmed on its own website. Listings include facility type, levels of care, contact info, and notes worth knowing. Call directly to verify current bed availability and to start the intake process — most admissions teams are reachable 24/7.

How this directory is verified

Every facility on this page had its Medicaid acceptance confirmed directly on the provider's own website — typically on an "Insurance," "Admissions," or "Pay for Treatment" page. Aggregator sites (Recovery.com, Rehabs.com, Psychology Today directory listings, etc.) were not used as primary sources, because their information is often stale or paid placement.

Inclusion criteria: the facility (1) operates in Colorado, (2) treats alcohol use disorder, and (3) explicitly states Medicaid or Health First Colorado acceptance on its own domain. Facilities whose own site says they do not accept Medicaid are excluded, even when third-party directories list them as Medicaid-friendly.

What "accepts Medicaid" actually means here: Colorado Medicaid is administered through Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs). Some facilities accept all four RAEs; others only contract with specific ones. Each card notes the specific Medicaid plans accepted where the provider has disclosed them. Always verify your specific plan with the facility before assuming coverage.

What this directory is not: not a referral service, not a lead-generation site, not affiliated with any listed facility. No facility paid to be included or to be ranked higher. There are no "preferred providers." If a Colorado center accepts Medicaid for alcohol treatment and is missing from this list, the omission is unintentional — please flag it via the corrections process below.

Editorial standards

This is a public-benefit directory, not a marketing channel. The principles below govern what gets included and how:

Verification on the source. Medicaid acceptance is confirmed on each provider's own domain — not aggregator sites — and the verification URL is published on every card. If a provider quietly drops Medicaid coverage, this directory updates within 30 days.
No paid placements, no referral fees. No facility paid to be listed, ranked higher, or featured. There are no affiliate links to admissions hotlines. Inclusion is not endorsement of clinical quality — only confirmation of stated insurance acceptance.
Plain-language disclosure. "Accepts Medicaid" can mean different things by provider (specific RAEs, conditional acceptance, capacity-dependent). Where the provider has disclosed details, those are surfaced in the listing.
Crisis-first design. Phone numbers — the action that actually matters — are the visual hierarchy. Insurance verification forms, lead magnets, and chat widgets are deliberately absent.

Corrections & updates

Facility information is re-verified roughly every 90 days, or sooner if a listing is flagged as inaccurate. Acceptance of Medicaid can change with little notice — always confirm with the facility directly when you call.

Authoritative sources
